about

Adopting the twin track approach of psychogeography and the obsessions of a restless flâneur Bob Auster South explores two days at the North Sea Jazz festival whilst Bob Auster North releases his inner Eno, Tim Blake and Edgar Froese to create electronic/ambient backdrops. The three accompanying instrumentals that bridge the two jazz narratives reflect various aspects of the Auster's work from the strident rhythm driven noisy electronica of "Thief", the manic Django addled guitar of "Olly C", and the serial peregrinating of "Obdurate" which reflects eastern chords and scales..
